#StartupLokal Meetup v.1: Let's Start Up!

The meetup that started the community. Thirty-three people gathered at Starbucks FX Plaza to talk about Indonesian local startups, and the evening was given over to each of them introducing what they were building. Natali Ardianto opened the night; Danny Oei Wirianto (Kaskus, Semut Api Colony) presented the SparxUp Award 2010, the competition the room was being pointed at. Rama Mamuaya (DailySocial) offered the working definition of a local startup used that night: Indonesian-owned, running less than three years, at most twenty employees, annual revenue under one billion rupiah. The idea for a regular monthly meetup was born out of a chance meeting at the same Starbucks between Natali Ardianto, Rama Mamuaya, Dondi Hananto, Aulia Masna and Sanny Gaddafi.
