Project Eden: Google Visit to Eden Campus

On the afternoon of Thursday 7 June 2012, forty five Google managers came to
Eden Campus, the hackspace Project Eden ran in Menteng, Jakarta.

Project Eden was Indonesia's first startup accelerator, founded in May 2011 by
Andi Sadha, Kevin Mintaraga, Bernhard Soebiakto, Calvin Kizana and Aulia
Halimatussadiah. #StartupLokal and Project Eden grew up next to each other:
the community's initiators sat on the accelerator's selection panel, and its
twenty finalists pitched at #StartupLokal Meetup v.15 the year before. This
visit belongs to both of us.

Nuniek Tirta presented #StartupLokal and the Indonesian startup scene to the
room. Andi Sadha hosted the visitors at the campus he had helped build.

Marissa Mayer was in the delegation. Nobody there knew it yet: she left Google
five weeks later to become CEO of Yahoo, announced on 16 July 2012. Over lunch
she and Nuniek talked about careers, and about what it takes at home to keep
one going.
