Bali Tech Week 2026: What It Is, and Who Should Go

Bali Tech Week 2026 runs from 19 to 23 October 2026 at the Bali Beach Convention Center in Sanur. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), convened by DailySocial, and it holds ten anchor events, each with its own organiser. The organisers expect more than 5,000 delegates from 25 countries.
Those numbers are interesting. They are not what makes the week unusual.
What is an umbrella week, exactly?
Bali Tech Week is not one large conference with many stages. It is an umbrella: ten events that already have their own communities, curation and agendas, agreeing to run on the same island in the same five days.
The difference shows up when you go to book. Only one event, BTWCon, sells tickets on the Bali Tech Week site. The other nine register through their own organisers, and two of those admit guests by invitation only. There is no single pass that opens every door.
Why build it that way?
Because merging ten events into one would cost nine of them the thing that makes them good. IGDX has a games studio community built over years. HUB.ID has Komdigi's curation process. CELIOS has a network of policy researchers. Folding all of that into a single agenda would turn it into a run of general panels.
The umbrella solves a different problem, and the problem is real: Indonesia's tech calendar has been scattered. Founders raise on one schedule, corporates buy on another, and the regulators who set the terms rarely attend either. One flight to Bali now covers what used to take four trips.

What are the ten anchor events?
BTWCon is the flagship conference, running all five days, and the only one ticketed on the official site.
IGDX 2026 is the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange, the country's largest games industry event, where local studios meet publishers and global partners.
HUB.ID Global Summit 2026 is the culmination of Komdigi's matchmaking programme, pairing curated startups with investors and corporates. It is the only anchor event that has announced its own dates, 20 to 21 October.
Tokocrypto Digital Summit 2026 covers AI, tokenization, stablecoins and blockchain utility.
AICX 2026 Leadership Forum, from ITSEC Asia, brings government, regulators and C-suite leaders together on AI governance and cyber resilience.
AI Impact Summit 2026 is convened by KORIKA and billed as one of Southeast Asia's largest AI conferences.
AI-Native Company Builder is a Founder Institute talk show, and the launch of Indonesia's first AI Venture Builder course.
CELIOS Indonesia Digital Economy Policy Forum 2026 is the policy track, on regulation and digital governance.
Endeavor Global Forum and Bali Capital Circle are both invitation only. The first convenes Endeavor's network of scale-up founders; the second is a family office, LP and VC gala co-organised with Amvesindo and Withers Global.
How should you read the programme?
The organisers map every session to one of four pillars. That is the fastest way to decide which days are worth your time.
Build is the technical track: AI infrastructure, engineering practice, product architecture. Capital is fundraising strategy, investor office hours, and closed LP and GP discussions. Market is go-to-market, regional expansion and sector deep-dives. Policy is the regulatory outlook, and it is the one room where industry and government are both sitting down.
If you are raising, Capital and HUB.ID are the two that decide whether the trip pays for itself. If your product touches regulated data, Policy and AICX matter more than any main stage.
What has not been announced yet?
This is the part to know before you book flights.
As of late August 2026, the official site has published no session-by-session timetable. All ten anchor events are listed against the week's date range rather than against their own days and hours. The organisers say the detailed agenda follows, and that BTWCon ticket holders get it first.
No speaker line-up has been published either. Several anchor organisers have already opened registration on their own channels, so firm dates are more likely to come from them than from the umbrella site.
Which means: if you are travelling for one particular event, confirm its day with that event's organiser, not with Bali Tech Week.

Where is it, and why does that matter?
Everything centres on the Bali Beach Convention Center in Sanur, about 30 minutes from the airport. Two hotels stand on the same grounds, The Meru Sanur and the Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection.
One site for ten events is a bigger decision than it looks. A conference week spread across a city forces delegates to choose by travel time rather than by content. On one campus, moving from a policy session to an investor meeting is a walk.
So should you go?
The question is not whether all ten events are relevant to you. Almost certainly they are not.
The more useful question: are there two events that genuinely matter to you this year, and do they fall in the same week? If so, one trip replaces two, and the people who normally take three months to reach are on the same island for five days.
If the answer is one event, register for that one with its organiser and treat the rest as a bonus.
