About

I spent my formative years at M Corp, learning marketing consulting and market research, then co-built Marketeers.com, a media platform for consumer culture in Indonesia. I’ve since developed my expertise in go-to-market strategy (with Meta), public policy (with Lazada/Alibaba Group) and corporate sustainability. Over the last 20 years, I've engaged government from almost every institutional position—as a marketing consultant, convener, regulated platform operator, and strategic partner. I served the Minister of Tourism (2018-2020) and have worked with the Central Bank (2007-2010) on Islamic Finance policy, the Minister of Trade on Export/Import regulation, the Minister of SMEs on digital literacy programs, and various provincial Governors and local Mayors. I'm currently leading a team (with NCCR) that develops infrastructure for structured corporate community investment with verified governance, transparent impact measurement, and outcomes aligned with GRI standards and ESG frameworks. In another parallel universe, I’m an amateur historian and an independent researcher in anthropology/ethnography, currently developing academic work on trade networks around the Indian Ocean and merchant communities connecting India with the Indonesian archipelago during the colonial era. I'm preparing PhD applications for 2027-2028.
