I am passionate about leveraging technology to build products to do good and work on innovative ideas with teams. Simple motto: no single person has all the answers but as a team we will get to the answers. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with healthcare providers and scientists/engineers to develop patient centric strategies and products to improve the delivery of care for the past 25 years. Whether as CEO or advisor part of team work is to not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your colleagues to achieve the objectives. I love working with entrepreneurial people whether they are 20 or 70, as it is a constant journey of discovery and learning through effective communication across generational gaps, which makes this one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I have been fortunate to have worked and learned from people who are some of the best, professionally and as human beings. In a another life, I was a graduate of the General Electric Edison program working for GE Military as Project engineer. This was followed by Director, Investment Banking Hambrecht & Quist Europe; led over 40 tech and Life Sciences transactions, IPOs, M&A and Private Placements. CEO of a listed VC firm on LSE. Expert at the EU Framework Program 6 (technology innovation, tech transfer). I continue to work with government agencies, universities and R&D centers on innovation and translational models providing the critical thinking needed to bring IP driven products to market. Over the years I have worked to develop VC, academic and corporate relationships in the globally. I have worked as Interim CEO and CFO for VC backed companies and assisted with advisory and C-suite fractal work. This has shaped my philosophy and approach to research translation and startup needs and how to strive to do good through technology, startup and product development I have been involved with companies in digital media, hardware and healthcare bringing a combination of technology, product development, operations, strategy and finance to help scale emerging growth companies. I had the honour of being elected Vice Chairman of the Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association. I served with a great group of seasoned professionals with varied backgrounds and our work laid the foundation for the association, the entrepreneur community and ecosystem to grow and thrive in South East Asia.
