#StartupLokal Meetup v.53 — 15 Ways to Initiate Change with Technology

To celebrate Kartini month of April, we're inviting women initiators to share their story and also pitch to seek partners and seed funding for their project!

Linda Kamau is a Senior Developer for Ushahidi based in Kenya. She develops both web and mobile applications. Linda is Co-Founder of AkiraChix and the Training Director of the training program that works with underprivileged girls in Kenya supporting them in engaging with and building capacity in ICT.

Joining Linda is Cheekay Cinco. Cheekay is a feminist activist, from the Philippines who has been working in the area of non-profit technology for more than a decade. She is currently working with Engage Media (a non-profit media and technology organization) as Skills and Strategies Program Manager. Cheekay has previously worked with Association for Progressive Communications (APC), at the Women's Networking Support Programme and where she also developed the Gender Evaluation Methodology.
